Description
Up for sale here is this set of two transformers--one power transformer and one output transformer. These came from an AMC brand tube console from 1959. The power transformer is marked PT-72 and is dated 1959, but the output transformer has no markings. The output transformer was originally used to run two EL84 output tubes (not included).I tested the voltages on the power transformer, and they are:
red wires 590vAC
Either red wire to red/striped wire 295vAC
Yellow wires 6.89vAC
This is with a 120vAC input. Voltages are generally higher unloaded, so they will be a bit lower in actual use. This should be perfect for a small EL84 guitar amp, or who knows what else.
The output transformer mounting holes are about 2.5 inches apart, and it's about 2.25" tall. The power transformer mounting holes are about 2 3/8" apart and 3" apart, and it's about 3" thick.
These are used with light to moderate wear, and are guaranteed to work fine. I don't have any specs on these other than what's in the listing.
